BIOGRAPHY / EXHIBITIONS
 BIOGRAPHY
Laura Iniesta Born in Barcelona (Spain 1955), from a very young age she was captivated by the world of Art and this was the city where she chose to begin her journey and study Art.
Her first exhibitions were also in her home city of Barcelona.
Her energy for life and curious nature has led her to live in Colombia and Ecuador and to exhibit in museums and galleries around the world.
Her Mediterranean roots called for her return to her homeland, where she currently lives and works.
Laura Iniesta’s work is a material, gestural work of great strength and energy. Her work has the ability to move the viewer, whom she does not leave indifferent.
Among her most important works are the three murals made for CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in Shanghai, China, in the beautiful buildings designed by the Chinese-American architect, Pritzker architecture prize winner, I.M.Pei.
She tells us about the great experience that it was to work these large murals (11x14m each) in China and the emotion she felt at meeting such a different culture, but which at the same time has so much in common with her work. The colors, the stroke which is so reminiscent of Chinese calligraphy and the conception of space
.âIt was like discovering a culture that was very close in terms of concept and at the same time so far away. Deep down we are all made of the same stardust, our essence is the sameâ says Laura.
She currently continues to work and exhibit in numerous galleries and museums and her work is highly appreciated by collectors around the world.
Laura Iniesta was born in Barcelona in 1955, and her first exhibitions were held in this city.
She exhibited and lived in South America for a long time, she was impressed by the tropical exuberance, a fact which is positively reflected in her work. There she met and shared experiences with famous contemporary painters such as Oswaldo GuayasamĂn among others.
Her Mediterranean heart brought her back to Barcelona, where she permanently established her studio. This is where she currently develops her multiple exhibitions and projects at a local and international level. She has exhibited in various countries including China, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Denmark, Holland, France and the USA.
Her artwork, gestural, raw, and direct with great visual impact and sense of balance, has huge aesthetic strength and an enormous capacity to move the viewer, leaving them far from indifferent.
